1 – What is the reason why BETEN Company became a specialist in sourcing of raw materials in Ukraine, Moldova and Russia?
The founder of BETEN, Mr Jean ROCHE had made a contract with the USSR for building patented modular plants at the time in all the republics of the Soviet Union. While he was currently constructing his second plant in southern Ukraine, the Communist bloc collapsed and many countries took their independence. In 1991, he decided to move his representative office from Moscow to Odessa, and to finish the construction of the plant (this plant is still operating today) in Ukraine. This project made him getting interested in agricultural raw materials to complete his engineering work. Subsequently, he decided to invest in agricultural production and processing infrastructure in a country that he had granted with a bright future, and in some neighboring countries such as Moldova and Russia.
2 – Is your company French or Ukrainian one?
The BETEN Company is registered in the Register of Commerce and Enterprises in the city of Creteil in France. Our Company has its permanent representative office in Kyiv, Ukraine since 15 years.
3 – To get more information on your BETEN activity should I call to Ukraine or to France?
The French office remains the information and commercialization platform, particularly for the BETEN Aroma branch.
4 – Are all of your products certified organic?
Most of them can be offered in conventional or organic quality. For certified products it is recommended to contact us beforehand to let us provide corresponding plantations or to include some parcels to the ECOCERT inspections conducted every year.
5 – Can you offer other products beside those on your list?
Yes, through our network of local producers in these regions we can search for some specific products.
6 – What is the harvest period for your products?
Depending on specific products the harvest period lasts from June/July to September/October, except for frozen blackcurrant burgeons collected in December/January.
7 – May I visit one of your plantations?
Due to growing activity and lack of time for our teams to offer such services, we do not organize any more this kind of visits but exceptionally and in the framework of serious commercial partnership.
8 – Can I buy directly your essential oil if I’m an individual?
Our Company is positioned as a producer/collector that does not allow us dealing with small quantities. Therefore our services and our products are intended for industrial producers in the field of Aromatic and Fragrance industry which can order us our products by several hundred of kilograms or even several tones. We would be graceful for your understanding if you are not making part of this category of clients.
